About UNA-Haiti

Who we are

There are those of us Haitians out there who take offense on how the country is being run by our Haitian counterparts. What worse is that it is being done with the help of the international community. Enough damage is done. It is up to us to get out of this crisis and put our country on the right track.

The United Nations Association Haiti (UNA-Haiti) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to fostering global solidarity, sustainable development, and democratic governance in Haiti. Founded in 2004, UNA-Haiti operates within the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) network, advocating for peace, human rights, and equitable development.

In 2025, UNA-Haiti launches the Ayiti 2030 Agenda Initiative—a Haitian-led roadmap for the right political transition, national recovery, institutional reform, and economic revitalization. This initiative rejects externally imposed governance, calling instead for leadership that unites all the factions in the country, driven by its own people, respect the country’s sovereignty while welcoming international cooperation and strategic partnerships.
